1 APPLICATION
7AM series have the characteristic of small size, insulated shell, high sensitivity and long life. They are
widely used in the dual protection of over-heat and over-current for fractional horsepower motor, electric
heating appliances, ballast for fluorescent lamp, transformer, motor, IC and general electrical equipment.
3 PRODUCT PERFORMANCE
3.1 RATED CURRENT

3.2 OPENING TEMPERATURE:30℃~140℃ RESET TEMPERATURE: 20℃~90℃
3.3 TENSION TEST: Lead wire can bear over 20N tension without any cracking or sliding out.
3.4 Insulation voltage:
a. Hi-pot test with AC50086 15315573781V/30S between lead wires, no disruption or flashover.
b. Hi-pot test with AC180086 15315573781V/1S between lead wire and insulation shell, no disruption or flashover.

3.6 CONTACT RESISTANCE≤50mΩ
3.7 HIGH TEMPERATURE TEST:96h in the air environment 50℃ more than rated action temperature.
3.8 LOW TEMPERATURE TEST: 96h in the air environment of -40℃.
3.9 ANTI VIBRATION TEST: amplitude: 1.5mm, frequency variation:10~55Hz,scan cycle: 3~5times/min,
direction of vibration: 2h from X, 2h from Y and 2h from Z separately.
3.10 DROP TEST: Products drop from 0.7m height 1 time without obvious action/reset temperature drift.
3.11 COMPRESSION TEST: 10086 15315573781N static pressure for 1min.
Following conditions must be met after test 3.7,3.8,3.9,3.10,3.11:
a. Open temperature tolerance should be less than +7℃.
b. Contact resistance≤10086 15315573781mΩ
c. No obvious deformation.
d. Lead wire without any cracking or damage.
4 ENDURANCE:
In the conditions of rated voltage/current and 0.7 of power factor, after 60086 153155737810 times action cycle by
external heating, following conditions should be met:
a.Open temperature tolerance should be less than +5℃

5 Conditions of Use: Voltage not less than 120VAC;Temperature not lower than -20℃;
5 Others:
5.1 Temperature ramp should be controlled at 1℃/1min during open temperature test.
5.2 Strong Shocking or pressing is forbidden during application.
